This privacy policy explains what we do with any personal information you give us through this website. It covers revup.uk.

Who we are

This website is run by RevUp Online Ltd of 86 St. Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4AB, registered in England and Wales under company number 14084762. We are the data controller for the information described below, which means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it.

What we collect

Very little. This website is a front door to our businesses (RevUp Online, RevUp Studio and My Webby). It has no enquiry form and no account to sign in to, so browsing it does not ask you for anything.

The one exception is our review page. If one of our businesses sends you a link asking for a review, the page collects the star rating you give, the name you choose to put with it and what you write. Nothing else.

Our website is measured with privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without identifying anybody. That produces totals, not a record about you.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

A review is used to show what customers think of our work, on our websites and in our own records. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you chose to send it to us, and we use it only for that. We do not sell your information and we do not add you to a marketing list.

Who else sees it

  • My Webby, our own website platform, builds and hosts this site and stores any review you send. It is stored on servers in the United Kingdom.
  • Our other websites. When you follow a link from here to revuponline.co.uk, revupstudio.co.uk or mywebby.co.uk, that site's own privacy policy covers what happens there.

Cookies

This website sets no tracking cookies at all. Our analytics are cookieless: they count a visit without storing anything on your device and without building a profile of you. That is why you are not asked to accept anything when you arrive.

How long we keep it

  • Reviews: for as long as we show them, and deleted when you ask us to remove yours.
  • Website analytics: totals only, with nothing that identifies you, kept for 2 years.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be told what we do with your information, which is what this page is for;
  • see a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • have it corrected if it is wrong or incomplete;
  • have it deleted, where we no longer need it for the reasons above;
  • restrict how we use it while a question about it is sorted out;
  • object to us using it, including for any marketing;
  • have it moved to you or another provider in a portable form.

We do not make any decision about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.

To use any of these rights, email alex@revuponline.co.uk. We will respond within one month, and it costs you nothing. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so we do not hand your details to somebody else.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. Complaining to us first does not affect that right.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
